DRIVE PULLEY/DRIVEN PULLEY/CLUTCH
BEARING INSPECTION/
REPLACEMENT
INSPECTION
Turn the inner race of the bearing with your finger.
The bearing should turn smoothly and quietly.
Also check that the bearing outer race fits tightly in
the left crankcase cover.
Replace the bearing if the inner race does not turn
smoothly, quietly, or if the outer race fits in the left
crankcase cover.
LEFT CRANKSHAFT BEARING REPLACEMENT
Remove the element of the belt case air cleaner
(page 4-15).
Remove the snap ring.
Remove the left crankshaft bearing from the left
crankcase cover using special tools.
TOOLS:
Bearing remover set, 30 mm
Remover weight
Bearing remover handle
Drive in the crankshaft bearing to the left crankcase
cover using special tools.
TOOLS:
Driver
Attachment, 52 x 55 mm
Pilot, 30 mm
