Honda S Matic System (NSS250A)

("F" blinks)

Movable drive pulley face position sensor low volt-

age (less than 0.3 V)

• Loose or poor contact of the movable drive face

position sensor connector

• Open or short circuit in movable drive face posi-

tion sensor wire

• Faulty movable drive face position sensor

Movable drive pulley face position sensor high volt-

age (more than 4.8 V)

• Open or short circuit in movable drive face posi-

tion sensor wire

• Faulty movable drive face position sensor

Fail safe relay circuit

• Blown RATIO MOTOR fuse (30 A)

• Loose or poor contact of the PCM 5P connector

• Open circuit in PG3 (Green) wire

• Faulty fail-safe relay inside the PCM

EEPROM malfunction

• Honda S Matic System initialization failure

• movable drive face position sensor or sensor

shaft is not installed correctly.

• EEPROM inside the PCM malfunction

Booster circuit

• Loose or poor contact of the PCM 5P connector

• Open circuit in PG3 (Green) wire

• Faulty booster circuit inside the PCM

Shift (up/down) switch short circuit

• Loose or poor contact on shift switch 3P connec-

• Open or short circuit in shift switch wire

• Faulty shift switch

Mode select switch circuit
