LIGHTS/METERS/SWITCHES
VS SENSOR INSPECTION (NSS250A)
WITH TEST HARNESS
Remove the left side rear cover (page 4-15).
Check for loose or poor contact of the VS sensor 3P
(Black) connector.
Disconnect the VS sensor 3P (Black) connector.
Turn the ignition switch ON, engine stop switch " ".
Measure the voltage at the VS sensor 3P connector
of the wire side.
CONNECTION: Yellow/red (+) – Green/black (–)
STANDARD:
If there is no voltage, check for open or short circuit
in Yellow/red or in Green/black wire.
Connect the test harness to the PCM 33P (Black)
connector (page 6-17).
Connect the VS sensor 3P (Black) connector.
Support the scooter on its center stand. Jack up the
scooter to rise the rear wheel off the ground.
Turn the ignition switch ON, engine stop switch " ".
Measure the voltage at the test harness and ground.
CONNECTION: 19 – Pink/green
STANDARD:
If there is no voltage, open or short circuit in Pink/
green wire.
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Remove the rear wheel (page 16-5).
Remove the socket bolts and VS sensor protector.
Disconnect the VS sensor 3P (Black) connector.
Remove the VS sensor protector socket bolt and VS
sensor.
