Remove the bolts and rear wheel speed sensor.
Check the rear wheel speed sensor for scratch or
damage, replace it if necessary.
Install the rear wheel speed sensor and bolts.
Tighten the rear wheel speed sensor bolts.
Install the VS sensor protector and new socket bolts.
Tighten the socket bolts to the specified torque.
TORQUE: 10 N·m (1.0 kgf·m, 7 lbf·ft)
Install the wire bands to the left crankcase.
Route the wire
properly (page 1-
21).
Clamp the sensor wire to the wire band.
Connect the rear wheel speed sensor 2P (Orange)
connector.
Install the following:
– Left side front cover/left side rear cover (page 4-
15)
– Left floor step (page 3-12)
– Rear wheel (page 16-5)
After installing the rear wheel speed sensor, check
the clearance (air gap) between the sensor and
pulser ring (page 18-26).
