Troubleshooting
DTC 3-1 and DTC 3-2
CAUTION: Whenever the ignition switch is ON
(II),
or
has been turned OFF for less than three minutes, be
careful not to bump the SRS unit; the airbags could
acciden~ally
deploy and cause damage or injuries.
Try to reproduce the SRS indicator light:
1.
Erase the DTC memory (see page 24-28),
2. Turn th e ignition switch ON
(II),
and check that the SRS
indicato r light co mes on f or about six seconds and then
goes off.

Check for an open in the driver's seat bett tensioner:
1. Disconnect the negative batt ery cable, and wait f or three
minutes.
2. Disconnect the driver's seat belt tens ioner 2P connector
fr om th e left side wire harness 2P connector (see page
24-23). Do not disconnect the
front
pa ssenger's seat beh
tension er 2P connector.
3.
Connect the special tool

to the left side wire harness
2P connector.
4.
Reconnect the negative battery cable .
5. Erase th e DTC memory (see page 24-28).
6.
Read the OTC
(see
page 24-26).
Is OlC 3-10r DlC 3-2 indicated?
YES NO
