Description
Selects the motor start function for the scalar motor
control mode, ie. when
Scalar
set to
.
Notes:
• The start function for the vector motor control
mode is selected by parameter
• With permanent magnet motors,
mode must be used.
• This parameter cannot be changed while the drive
is running.
DC magnetization
See also section
Immediate start from zero speed.
The drive pre-magnetizes the motor before start. The
pre-magnetizing time is defined by parameter
Magnetization time
. This mode should be selected if
constant pre-magnetizing time is required (e.g. if the
motor start must be synchronized with the release of
a mechanical brake). This setting also guarantees the
highest possible break-away torque when the pre-
magnetizing time is set long enough.
Note: This mode cannot be used to start into a
rotating motor.
WARNING! The drive will start after the set
magnetizing time has passed even if motor
magnetization is not completed. In
applications where a full break-away torque is
essential, ensure that the constant magnetizing time
is long enough to allow generation of full
magnetization and torque.
The drive automatically selects the correct output
frequency to start a rotating motor. This is useful for
flying starts: if the motor is already rotating, the drive
will start smoothly at the current frequency.
Note: Cannot be used in multimotor systems.
Torque boost is applied at start, ending when output
frequency exceeds 40% of nominal frequency or when
output frequency is equal to reference.
If the Flystart routine does not detect rotating motor,
torque boost is applied.
