LIGHTS/METERS/SWITCHES
INSTALLATION
Install the combination meter and screws and
tighten them to the specified torque.
TORQUE: 1.1 N·m (0.1 kgf·m, 0.8 lbf·ft)
Install the rear meter panel (page 3-22).

SPEEDOMETER/VS SENSOR

SYSTEM INSPECTION
When the ignition switch turns ON, check that all
gauge needles move to full scale and then return to
zero.
If the speedometer needle does not show initial
function but other needles show initial functions,
faulty combination meter.
If all needles do not move, perform the power and
ground line inspection of the combination meter
(page 22-10).
If the speedometer needle shows initial function but
speedometer does not move at running, check as
follows:
Remove the screen garnish (page 3-18).
Support the scooter on its center stand. Jack up the
scooter to rise the rear wheel off the ground.
Turn the ignition switch ON then measure the out-
put voltage (sensor signal) between the combina-
tion meter 28P connector terminal with the
connector connected and ground then while slowly
turning the rear wheel by your hand.
CONNECTION: Pink/green (+) – Ground (–)
STANDARD:
If the pulse voltage appears, but the speedometer
operate abnormally, replace the combination meter
printed circuit board.
If the pulse voltage does not appear, check the fol-
lowing:
