FUEL SYSTEM (PGM-FI)
4. Sensor Unit Input Voltage Line Short Circuit
Inspection
Check the continuity between the sensor unit 5P
connector of the wire side and ground.
CONNECTION: Yellow/red – Ground
Is there continuity?
YES
NO
SENSOR UNIT POWER LINE
INSPECTION (NSS250A)
BEFORE DTC TROUBLESHOOTING
• When the DTC displays 1-2, 8-2 and 9-2, check
the following before DTC troubleshooting.
• Before starting the inspection, check for loose or
poor contact on the sensor unit 5P (Black) and
PCM 33P (Black) connectors.
1. Sensor Unit Power Input Voltage Inspection
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the sensor unit 5P (Black) connector.
Turn the ignition switch ON.
Measure the voltage at the wire side.
CONNECTION: Yellow/red (+) – Green/orange (–)
STANDARD:
If the voltage within 4.75 – 5.25 V?
YES
NO
2. Sensor Unit Power Line Open Circuit Inspection
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the PCM 33P (Black) connector (page
6-102).
Check the continuity at the Yellow/red and
Green/orange wires between the sensor unit 5P
and PCM 33P connectors.
TOOL:
Test probe
CONNECTION: Yellow/red – Yellow/red
Is there continuity?
YES
NO

– Intermittent failure
4.75 – 5.25 V
– Turn the ignition switch OFF, and dis-
connect the sensor unit 5P (Black) con-
nector
and
start
troubleshooting (page 6-36).
– GO TO STEP 2.

– • Open circuit in Yellow/red wire
• Open circuit in Green/orange wire
