Check the dust seal for deterioration or damage and

replace it if necessary.

Remove the bolts, muffler bracket and shock

absorber bracket.

Remove the dust seals from the swingarm.

Turn the inner race of the bearing with your finger.

The bearing should turn smoothly and quietly.

Also check that the bearing outer race fits tightly in

the swingarm.

Replace the bearing if the inner race does not turn

smoothly and quietly, or if the outer race fits loosely

(page 16-9).

SWINGARM BEARING REPLACEMENT

Remove the snap ring.

Remove the bearing from the swingarm.

REAR WHEEL/PARKING BRAKE/SUSPENSION

MUFFLER BRACKET

SHOCK ABSORBER BRACKET
