FINAL REDUCTION
Pack all bearing cavities with oil.
Drive in new bearings squarely with its marked side
facing up until it is fully seated, using special tools.
Final gear shaft bearing:
TOOLS:
Driver
Attachment, 42 x 47 mm
Pilot, 20 mm
Drive shaft bearing:
TOOLS:
Driver
Attachment, 52 x 55 mm
Pilot, 25 mm
Drive in a new needle bearing so that the depth
from the left crankcase surface is 1.0 mm (0.04 in).
Counter gear shaft needle bearing:
TOOLS:
Driver
Attachment, 22 x 24 mm
Pilot, 14 mm
FINAL REDUCTION CASE SIDE
Remove the oil seal and dust seal from the final
reduction case.
Remove the final gear shaft bearing and counter
gear shaft bearing using special tools.
TOOLS:
Bearing remover shaft
Bearing remover head, 15 mm
Remover weight
Remove the final gear shaft bearing.
