REAR PULSER RING
INSPECTION
Support the scooter on its center stand and raise the
rear wheel off the ground.
Check the pulser ring for scratch or damage.
Replace the pulser ring if necessary.
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Remove the rear wheel (page 16-5).
Remove the torx bolts and pulser ring.
Install the pulser ring and new torx bolts and tighten
them to the specified torque.
TORQUE: 8 N·m (0.8 kgf·m, 5.9 lbf·ft)
Install the rear wheel (page 16-13).
After installing the rear wheel, check the clearance
(air gap) between the sensor and pulser ring (page
18-26).
ABS MODULATOR
Spilled brake fluid will severely damage instrument
lenses ad painted surfaces. It is also harmful to
some rubber parts.
• When removing the brake pipes, cover the end of
the brake pipes to prevent contamination.
REMOVAL
Remove the inner cover (page 3-27).
Drain the brake fluid from the right and left hydrau-
lic systems (page 17-7).
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the ABS modulator 25P connector by
pulling the lock lever up to disconnect it.
• Pull the lock lever up completely.
