REGULATOR/RECTIFIER

SYSTEM INSPECTION
Remove the right body cover (page 3-11).
Disconnect the regulator/rectifier 2P (Black) and
alternator 3P (Black) connectors, and check it for
loose contact or corroded terminals.
If the charging voltage reading (page 19-8) is out of
the specification, then measure the voltage between
the regulator/rectifier connector terminals of the
wire side as follows.

If all components of the charging system are normal
and there are no loose connections at the regulator/
rectifier connectors, replace the regulator/rectifier.
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Remove the right body cover (page 3-11).
Disconnect the regulator/rectifier 2P (Black) and
alternator 3P (Black) connectors.
Remove the regulator/rectifier mounting bolts and
regulator/rectifier.
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
