Remove the washer and counter gear.
Remove the final gear shaft.
Remove the counter gear shaft and washer.
LEFT CRANKCASE BEARING
Ball bearing
Turn the inner race of the crankcase ball bearing
with your finger.
The ball bearing should turn smoothly and quietly.
Also check that the bearing outer race fits tightly in
the left crankcase.
Replace the ball bearing if the inner race does not
turn smoothly, quietly, or if the outer race fits
loosely in the left crankcase.
Needle bearing
Check the counter gear shaft needle bearing in the
left crankcase for wear or damage.
Also check that the bearing outer race fits tightly in
the left crankcase.
