6. Movable Drive Face Position Sensor Installation
Inspection
Remove the movable drive face position sensor
(page 24-51).
Check that the slot of the movable drive face
position sensor and sensor shaft are aligned.
Is the position sensor installed correctly?
YES – GO TO STEP 7.
NO – Install the position sensor correctly,
then GO TO STEP 8.
7. Movable Drive Face Position Sensor and
Movable Drive Face Gear Train Inspection
Remove the drive pulley face (page 11-18).
Check the movable drive face position sensor
shaft turn smoothly by turning the movable
drive face gear with your hand.
Does the movable drive face position sensor
shaft turn smoothly?
YES – GO TO STEP 8.
NO – Ratio control motor and sensor shaft
not synchronized with the program.
Inspect the following:
• Reduction gear B (page 24-54)
• Movable drive face position sensor
shaft (page 24-54)
• Each bearing (page 24-56)
• Movable drive
(page 11-18)
8. Movable Drive Face Position Sensor Resistance
Inspection 1
Measure the resistance at the movable drive face
position sensor 3P connector of the sensor side.
CONNECTION: A – B
B – C
A – C
STANDARD: 0 – 6.0 kΩ (20°C/68°F)
Is the resistance within 0 – 6.0 k Ω (20 ° C/68 ° F)?
YES – GO TO STEP 9.
NO – Faulty movable drive face position sen-
sor
