Honda S Matic DTC INDEX

• When the gear position indicator "–" is blinking constantly, but no DTC is indicated or retrievable, refer to serial commu-
nication line.
– Inspection with test probe: (page 24-49)

DTC
("F" blinks)
• Open circuit in power input line of the PCM
• Faulty bank angle sensor or related circuit
• Faulty engine stop relay or related circuit
No blinks • Faulty engine stop switch or related circuit
• Faulty handle lock module or related circuit
• Faulty PCM
• Blown MAIN B fuse (15 A)
• Open circuit in PCM to combination meter wire
"–" blinks • Loose of poor contact of the combination meter
connector
Ratio control motor stuck
• Excessive gear friction between the gear mecha-
nism of the ratio control motor and the movable
drive face gear
• Loose or poor contact of the ratio control motor
5-1 (5) connector
• Faulty ratio control motor or related circuit
• Loose or poor contact of the movable drive face
position sensor connector
• Faulty movable drive face position sensor or
related circuit
Ratio control motor drive circuit
• Blown RATIO MOTOR fuse (30 A)
• Loose or poor contact of the ratio control motor
connector

• Open or short circuit in ratio control motor wire
• Faulty ratio control motor
• Ratio control motor drive circuit inside the PCM
malfunction
TP Sensor circuit low voltage (less than 0.215 V)
• Loose or poor contact of the TP sensor connector
