OBD II scan tool (excluding hand−held tester):
1 Check operation of stop light.
PREPARATION:
Check if the stop lights come on and go off normally when the brake pedal is operated and released.
OK
2 Check STOP fuse.
PREPARATION:
Remove the STOP fuse from the instrument panel J/B.
CHECK:
Check the continuity of the STOP fuse.
OK:
Continuity

3 Check stop light switch (See page BE−37).
OK

NG Check and repair stop light circuit (See page
BE−37).
NG Check for short in all harness and components
connected to STOP fuse.
NG Replace stop light switch.
