Each F MC-16LX instruction code consists of 1 or 2 bytes. Therefore, the instruction
map consists of multiple pages. Table B.9-2 to Table B.9-21 summarize the F
instruction map.

An instruction such as the NOP instruction that ends in one byte is completed within the basic page. An
instruction such as the MOVS instruction that requires two bytes recognizes the existence of byte 2 when
it references byte 1, and can check the following one byte by referencing the map for byte 2. Figure B.9-2
shows the correspondence between an actual instruction code and instruction map.
