18.3.4 Interrupt Function of the I/O Extended Serial Interface

The I/O extended serial interface can generate an interrupt request to the CPU. When
data transfer has completed, the SIR bit will be set as an interrupt flag. If the SIE bit of
the SMCS register is "1" to allow an interrupt, an interrupt request is output to the
CPU.
