T- 4.5.0 ISOLATE TRIAC / POWER CONTROL BOARD
a) Turn the machine OFF and UNPLUG it.
CAUTION! Electrocution hazard if not unplugged!
b) Figure right, unplug the Triac's orange wire from the
Power Control board's GATE connector ST 9.
c) To avoid damage wrap black tape around the Triac's
female orange wire terminal!
d) Plug the machine in. CAUTION! High voltage now
present!
e) Turn the machine on and return to Dialysis Program
("Select Program" → 'Dialysis' → 'CONFIRM')!
f)
From the Home screen, allow [Temperature] to fall to
below 39°.0 C
g) Measure again at the distribution board's Heater Connector between the BLUE and BROWN wires.
More than 100 volts AC?
Yes
More than 100.0 volts AC! Electrocution hazard if the machine is NOT unplugged before
continuing! The Triac is bad (see Figure below).
No Electrocution hazard if NOT unplugged before continuing! The Power Control Board (inside
the power supply) is bad.
