Machine disinfection
Thermal disinfection of up to 93 °C according to ISO 15883-1 is possible
for components marked accordingly. Use an alkaline cleaning agent for
this purpose. A laboratory washing machine, such as the Miele G7781,
may be used as a sterilization device. The setting of the device as well as
the type and amount of cleaning agent can be found in the operating
manual of the respective machine.
Manual drying
With the wipe disinfection method, drying is not necessary because
excess disinfectant evaporates. Excess water from the cleaning process
can be removed with a soft cloth.
Sterilization
Sterilization may be done for components that are marked accordingly.
Sirona recommends sterilization in a steam sterilizer (autoclave)
according to ISO 13060, Class B (e.g., DAC PREMIUM/DAC
PROFESSIONAL).
The sterilization must be carried out with a multiple fractionated suction
system (Class B sterilizer). The process parameters can be found on the
embossed marking of the respective component and this operating
manual. In addition, please follow the operating instructions for the
sterilizer.
