Sanitation

Sanitation effectively combats the reproduction of microorganisms in the
water lines.
If the waterline treatment system is set for operation with public drinking
water supply, the sanitization must be guided using the sanitization
screen, see "Interactively guided sanitation of the dental treatment unit"
[ → 248].
If the equipment is being operated with a self-sufficient water supply,
sanitation can only be carried out manually, see "Sanitizing the dental
treatment unit manually" [ → 256]. The

Interactively guided sanitation of the dental treatment unit

When operating with public drinking water supply (self-sufficient water
supply switched off), sanitization with interactive guidance should be
carried out:
● Regularly every 4 weeks

NOTICE
Additional devices, sanitation with waterline treatment solution
Additional devices connected to the external device connection must
not be sanitized with the dental treatment unit.
Additional devices can be damaged. Residues of DENTOSEPT P
waterline treatment solution can remain in the additional devices.
➢ Disconnect any additional devices from the dental treatment unit
prior to sanitation.
Preparation
The following preparations should be made prior to beginning sanitation.
1. If your dental treatment unit is equipped with a cuspidor, activate the
cuspidor flushing for at least one minute. This flushes the water lines.
