Before you start system loading, review the installation steps and verify that
all circuit cards are in their appropriate card slots, ENB/DIS switches are set
to ENB, and all cables are properly connected.
1
Plug the AC power cord into the external power receptacle.
2
Verify that ED floppy disks with release 19 software are installed in the
SMDU drives. Insert disk A1 in drive A and disk B1 in drive B.
3
Verify that the QMM42 data cartridge for release 19 software is installed
onto the NT9D34 EMSI card.
Note: QMM42 data cartridges are shipped with the disks for each
software release.
4
Set the system breaker on the PDU to ON.
5
Set the switch on the power supply in the CE/PE Module to ON.
6
Set the circuit breaker on the Pedestal Blower Unit in the front of the
pedestal to ON.
Note: On initial power up the blower blades may rotate slower than
expected. As the sensor detects heat, the blower will spin more rapidly.
The system will automatically begin a sysload. System messages similar
to the following will appear:
SYS000
SYSLOAD RLS: xxISSUE:x
DONE
INI000
7
Verify that all system functions are operational. For instance, the blower
must be ON, and the column LED must be OFF.
