12 Install the new QPC742 FDI card into the ST system in the same slot
from which you removed the older FDI card.
Note: The QPC742 FDI card installed in the ST system must be vintage
F or later.
13 Set the ENB/DIS switch on the QPC742 FDI card to ENB.
14 Insert ED floppy disks with release 15 software into the FDU drives.
Insert disk A in drive A and disk B in drive B.
15 Perform a data dump. At the prompt, enter
EDD
When "DATABASE BACKUP COMPLETE" or "DATADUMP
COMPLETE" appears on the terminal, proceed to the next step.
If the data dump is not successful, do not continue; contact your
technical support organization. A data dump problem must be
corrected before proceeding.
16 Remove the QPC687 CPU card. Remove the QPC717 ROM card and
replace it with the QPC940 ROM card. Reinstall the CPU function card.
Carefully align the connector pins when installing a ROM card.
Failure to use care may result in damage to one of the cards or system
failure.
17 Remove the QPC673 Memory card and install the QPC814 Memory
card.
18 Verify that the QPC709 Peripheral Signaling card in the ST system is
vintage D or later. If it is not, install a QPC709D now.
