15 Insert ED floppy disks with release 19 software into the SMDU drives.
Insert disk A1 in drive A and disk B1 in drive B.
16 Perform a data dump. At the prompt, enter
EDD
When "DATABASE BACKUP COMPLETE" or "DATADUMP
COMPLETE" appears on the terminal, proceed to the next step.
If the data dump is not successful, do not continue; contact your
technical support organization. A data dump problem must be
corrected before proceeding.
17 Shut down power to the system by switching the circuit breaker for the
power supply to OFF.
18 If equipped, disconnect the cable to the SDI port on the QPC687 CPU
card.
19 Remove the QPC687 CPU card.
20 Remove the QPC673 or QPC814 Memory card and the QPC709
Peripheral Signaling card.
21 Remove the NT9D34 EMSI card and set positions 1, 5, 7, and 8 on
switch SW3 to ON.
22 Reinstall the EMSI card and set the ENB/DIS switch to ENB.
23 Unpack the NTND01 ICM card from its carton. Verify that the NTND31
ROM card is installed on the ICM card. If it is not, install the NTND31
ROM card on the ICM card, and install the ICM card in slot 2.
Carefully align the connector pins when installing a ROM card.
Failure to use care may result in damage to one of the cards or system
failure.
24 Set the ENB/DIS switch on the NTND02 MSPS card to DIS.
