Remove any diskettes from the floppy drive, and type

When you have rebooted the system, proceed to the next step.

Log into the system.

Load the Equipment Data Dump Program (LD 43). At the prompt, enter
LD 43

Insert a B1 disk (from the release 21 disk set) titled "DATABASE
BACKUP DISK" into the floppy drive in the IOP/CMDU in Core 1.
10 Perform a data dump. At the prompt, enter
EDD
When "DATABASE BACKUP COMPLETE" or "DATADUMP
COMPLETE" appears on the terminal, proceed to the next step.
If the data dump is not successful, do not continue; contact your
technical support organization. A data dump problem must be
corrected before proceeding.
11 Follow the steps below to convert the release 19 database to release 20,
and install the customer database on the option 61C Core/Net 1. You will
need the B disk (release 19) previously created when you performed a
data dump in step 10.
Note: Refer to "Software Installation Tool reference," Software
conversion procedures (553-2001-320).
Set the ENB/DIS switch on the NT5D20 IOP/CMDU card to DIS
and remove the card. Install the QMM42 cartridge for release 21
onto the card. Reinstall the card and set the ENB/DIS switch to
ENB.
Note: Wait for 30 seconds until system messages indicate that the
IOP/CMDU card has been successfully enabled before proceeding to the
next step.
