5 Follow the steps below to install the customer database (converted by
Northern Telecom) on Core 1.
Note: Refer to "Software Installation Tool reference," Software
conversion procedures (553-2001-320).
• Set the ENB/DIS switch on the NT5D20 IOP/CMDU card to DIS
and remove the card. Install the QMM42 cartridge for release 20
onto the card. Reinstall the card and set the ENB/DIS switch to
ENB.
• To activate the Software Installation Tool, insert disk A1 from the
software upgrade package into the NT5D20 IOP/CMDU in
Core/Net 1.
• Press the MAN RST button on the NT6D66 CP card in Core/Net 1.
• Select the following options in sequence, and insert the B1 disk with
the customer database when you are prompted to do so:

• Follow all screen directions until the database transfer is complete.
• Select the following options to quit and reload the system:

When you have rebooted the system, proceed with step 12.
