Converting a database from release 17 to release 21

Remove the front covers from the CPU/Network modules in the
option 61.

Log into the system.

Load the Equipment Data Dump Program (LD 43). At the prompt, enter
LD 43
Always enter LD 43 from the source (current) media. Do not exit LD 43.
When "EDD000" appears on the terminal, proceed to the next step.

Set the ENB/DIS switch on the MSI or EMSI cards in CPU 0 and CPU 1
to DIS.

Disconnect cables to the faceplates of both MSI or EMSI cards and
remove the cards.

If an NT8D69 MDU is installed in the option 61, remove it by gently
pulling the unit forward two or three inches. Wait at least 10 seconds, and
then remove it from the card slot.
Wait at least 10 seconds before you remove the MDU from the card
slot to allow the hard disk to stop spinning.

Install the QMM42 cartridges for release 19 software on both new MSI
or EMSI cards.
Note: If the new MSI card is a QPC584 MSI card, it must be vintage L
or later.

Set the ENB/DIS switch on both new MSI or EMSI cards to DIS.

On both MSI or EMSI cards, set positions 1, 5, and 7 on switch SW3 to
ON.
