44 Remove each MSI or EMSI card. For MSI cards, set position 4 on switch
SW3 to ON. For EMSI cards, set position 4 on switch SW2 to ON.
45 Reinstall the MSI or EMSI card and set the ENB/DIS switch to ENB.
46 If you are installing an MDU and the system is not configured for a hard
disk drive, change the configuration record:

47 Perform a data dump:

If the data dump is not successful, do not continue; contact your
technical support organization. A data dump problem must be
corrected before proceeding.
48 To continue ugrading the option 51 to release 21, proceed with step 49.
If you are upgrading the option 51 to an option 51C X11 release 22,
remove the database disk and use the procedures in Upgrade system
installation to X11 release 22 (553-3001-258) to upgrade the system
hardware and convert the software to release 22.
49 Verify the system by using the test procedures described in Meridian 1
system installation procedures (553-3001-210) and X11 input/output
guide (553-3001-400). Clear any faults discovered during testing.
50 Follow the "Postconversion procedure" in Software conversion
procedures (553-2001-320).
