Customer databases prior to release 17 must first be converted to
release 17 on the option 61. To convert the database on the option 61
from release 15 or 16 to release 17, perform the software procedure for
converting to a higher database in Software conversion procedures
(553-2001-320). Customer databases release 17 and later will be
converted on the option 61C.
Note: If the database media is a 3.5-in. HD or ED floppy disk, it can be
installed directly into a CMDU and converted to release 19 software later
in the upgrade.
10 Follow "Procedure 1: Pre-conversion procedure," Software conversion
procedures (553-2001-320), and print configuration records:
Check the configuration record printouts to identify all configured I/O
ports. When you transfer call processing to Core/Network modules, one
I/O address should be available for a CPSI port. Refer to "Terminal and
modem connections" on page B-1 for specific information regarding the
terminal and modem settings.
If only one address is available, the CPSI port for a terminal
connection is automatically assigned to it.
If more than one address is available, the CPSI port for a terminal
connection is automatically assigned to the first available address
(the lowest number). If more than one address is available, the I/O
port for a modem connection is also assigned automatically.
If there is no address available, the device assigned to I/O address 15
is automatically replaced by the CPSI port for a terminal connection.
