13 Insert the release 9 to release 10 conversion software disk into drive A.
14 Load the Conversion Program (LD 66):
LD 66
When "CDD000" appears on the terminal, proceed to the next step.
15 Disable and remove the QPC742 FDI card and replace the QMM42
cartridge for release 9 with the QMM42 cartridge for release 10.
Reinstall and enable the QPC742 FDI card.
16 Remove the disk from the FDU drives and insert ED floppy disks with
release 10 software into the drives. Insert disk A in drive A and disk B in
drive B. Refer to Table 4-8 to determine the software release required for
the next conversion step; for example, X11 release 10 software is
required for the conversion from release 9 to release 10.
17 Execute the conversion data dump program, which is already loaded. At
the prompt, enter
CDD
When "DATABASE BACKUP COMPLETE" or "DATADUMP
COMPLETE" appears on the terminal, proceed to the next step.
If the data dump is not successful, do not continue; contact your
technical support organization. A data dump problem must be
corrected before proceeding.
18 Press the RS button on the QUAA3 Power Unit to start a sysload. System
messages similar to the following will appear:
SYS000
SYSLOAD RLS: xxISSUE:x
DONE
INI000
19 Log into the system.
Upgrade system installation Upgrading to Meridian 1 system options
SL-1 ST and STE system upgrades
to load the program
to begin the conversion
