SL-1 XT system upgrade

The SL-1 X11 release 21 XT system is now operational. Install all covers to
complete the upgrade.
Converting a database from release 9 to release 21

Remove the front and rear covers from the CPU/Network cabinet in the
XT system.

Log into the system.

If the XT system has an NT8D69 MDU installed, skip this entire step. If
no NT8D69 MDU is installed in the XT system, make room in the
system for installation of the NTND16 MDU. If three consecutive CPU
slots are not available, use three slots in the network shelf. Disable and
remove the cards from the system.
If your upgrade package does not include an optional NT7D44 or
NT7D45 Power Monitor/Common Equipment Auxiliary Shelf, use the
Move Data Blocks Program (LD 25) to move any network loop cards
required to make these slots available. Refer to the X11 input/output
guide (553-3001-400) for instructions.

Load the Common Equipment Diagnostic Program (LD 35) and check
the status of the CPUs:
LD 35
STAT CPU
Verify that CPU 1 is enabled and CPU 0 is idle. If CPU 0 is enabled, test
and switch the CPUs:
TCPU
SCPU
Check the status of the CPUs again:
STAT CPU
Verify that CPU 1 is enabled and CPU 0 is idle, then enter

In CPU 1, set the MAINT/NORM switch on the QPC580 CPU Interface
card to MAINT.
