19.3.1.10 UART Control Register
CTRL is the UART Control Register. To enable transmission, bit [8] and bit [0] must be set.
Similarly, to enable reception, bit [9] and bit [0] must be set. The active bits used in this
register are Read/Write.

NAME
///
Reserved Do not modify.
Receive Section
RECEIVE
1 = Enables the receive section of the UART. When the UART is disabled in
ENABLE
the middle of reception, it completes the current character before stopping.
Transmit Section
TRANSMIT
1 = Enables the transmit section of the UART. When the UART is disabled
ENABLE
in the middle of transmission, it completes the current character before
stopping.
Loopback Control Bit Places UART0 and UART1 into Loopback Mode.
LC
0 = Loopback is disabled.
1 = Loopback is enabled.
Reserved Do not modify. When writing to this register, perform a
///
read-modified-write operation to this field.
UART Enable
UART
1 = Enables the UART. When the UART is disabled in the middle of trans-
ENABLE
mission or reception, it completes the current character before stopping.
