Chapter 80 SNMP Server Commands
DESCRIPTION
Sets the authentication level for SNMP v3 user
authentication. Optionally, specifies the authentication
and encryption methods for communication with the
SNMP manager.
name: Enter the SNMP username.
noauth: Use the username as the password string sent to
the SNMP manager. This is equivalent to the Get, Set and
Trap Community in SNMP v2c. This is the lowest security
level.
auth: Implement an authentication algorithm for SNMP
messages sent by this user.
priv: Implement privacy settings and encryption for SNMP
messages sent by this user. This is the highest security level.
auth-password: Set the authentication password for
SNMP messages sent by this user.
priv-password: Set the privacy settings password for
SNMP messages sent by this user.
group-name: Set the View-based Access Control Model
(VACM) group. Available group names are:
admin: The user belongs to the admin group and has
maximum access rights to the Switch.
readwrite: The user can read and configure the
Switch except for confidential options (such as user
account and AAA configuration options.)
readonly: The user can read but cannot make any
configuration changes.
cipher: inform the Switch that the string after the word
"cipher" is an encrypted secret. This is used in password
encryption. To encrypt the password, use the password
encryption command.
Note: The settings on the SNMP manager must be
set at the same security level or higher than
the security level settings on the Switch.
Removes the specified SNMP user's information.
Displays the SNMP information on the Switch. The
flag displays SNMP user information.
DESCRIPTION
Enables sending SNMP traps to a manager.
Disables sending of SNMP traps to a manager.
Sends all AAA traps to the specified manager.
Prevents the Switch from sending any AAA traps to the
specified manager.
Sends the specified AAA traps to the specified manager.
