REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (MR 415, 02A, Lifting equip-
ment).
a Remove the front engine cover.
a Remove the nut (1) from the cooling radiator top
hose on the intercooler air inlet pipe.
a Move aside the cooling radiator top cooling hose.
a Remove the bolts (2) from the intercooler air inlet
pipe on the intake distributor.

a Rotate the intercooler air inlet pipe clip (3) at the tur-
bocharger end.
a Disconnect the intercooler air inlet pipe from the tur-
bocharger.
a Remove:
- the engine undertray bolts,
- the engine undertray.
a Rotate the intercooler air inlet pipe clip at the inter-
cooler end.
a Disconnect the intercooler air inlet pipe from the in-
tercooler.
a Remove:
- the intercooler air inlet pipe,
- the damper valve (see 12A, Fuel mixture, Damp-
er valve: Removal - Refitting, page 12A-39) .
