DYNAMIC BRAKING

SETUP::MOTOR CONTROL::DYNAMIC BRAKING
Designed for all Motor Control Modes.
The dynamic braking function block controls the rate at which energy from a regenerating motor is dumped into a resistive
load. This dumping prevents the dc link voltage reaching levels which would cause an Overvoltage trip.
Parameter Descriptions
ENABLE
Enables operation of the dynamic braking block.
BRAKE RESISTANCE
The value of the dynamic braking load resistance.
BRAKE POWER
The power that the load resistance may continually dissipate.
1SEC OVER RATING
Multiplier that may be applied to BRAKE POWER for power overloads lasting no more than 1 second.
INT DB RESISTOR
For futrue use only. Set to FALSE if an external dynamic brake resistor is fitted.
BRAKING
A read-only parameter indicating the state of the brake switch.
