Revision 1
7. With the TG18-LN12-01 Pattern displayed, use the luminance meter to measure the value of the
black luminance at the center of the black box. Insert the measured black luminance value into row A
of Table 1 on page 1800. The measured black luminance value must be less than 1 cd/m² for the
monitor to pass the black luminance test.
8. Use the Img up/down buttons to select the 18th image (number 18) in the series. Ensure that the title
of the displayed image is TG18-LN12-18 Pattern.
9. With the TG18-LN12-18 Pattern displayed, use the luminance meter to measure the value of the
white luminance at the center of the white box. Insert the measured white luminance value into row B
of Table 1 on page 1800. The measured white luminance value must be more than 350 cd/m² for the
monitor to pass the white luminance test.
10. Calculate the contrast ratio. To do this, divide the white luminance value measured in step 9 by the
black luminance value measured in step 7. Insert the calculated ratio into row C of Table 1 on
page 1800. The calculated contrast ratio (white luminance divided by black luminance) must be
greater than 100 for the monitor to pass the contrast ratio test.
11. Within the Exam Review window, use the Ser. up/down buttons to select Series 4 (Procedure
Description TG18-UNL).
12. If not already selected, use the Img up/down buttons to select the first image (number 1) in the
