Adjusting the Pressure of the Sheet Hold-Down Plates in the Merge
Stacker
The sheet hold-down plates prevent a sheet from bouncing back from the stopper. The holding pressure
of sheet hold-down plates is automatically adjusted to match the thickness of sheet. The thicker the
sheet, the higher the pressure. You can use a setting which is different from the automatic setting.

If the sheet stops before it reaches the
stopper, decrease the pressure.
If the stacked sheets are misaligned side-
to-side, increase the pressure.
