Adjusting the Ejecting Gates on the 2nd Process Unit
Adjust the gate positions if the edge of the page hits one of the gates and the pages are jammed
when they are delivered to the waste tray. Adjust the position of the space between the two ejecting
gates to align it with the position of the gutter.

(The guides and frames have been left out of this drawing.) In the example shown here, the sheet
closest to the front is hitting one of the gates.

• If the gates are out of position, the
sheet can hit one of the gates and
cause a jam. In the example shown
here, you would need to increase the
value for the ejecting gates.
• In the example shown here, the sheet
that should move down is stopped,
causing a jam. Reduce the value for
the ejecting gates.
