Setting the Suction Head

Set the position of the sheet tail hold-down bars.
For Thick Sheets

Set the height of the vacuum piston.
• Normally you should adjust the vacuum
piston using the vacuum piston height
adjusting knob so that the distance
between the top sheet and the vacuum
piston is about 1 mm / 0.04".
Note
If the vacuum piston feeds two sheets at the
same time because the sheets are porous, raise
the vacuum piston. If the vacuum piston fails to
feed a sheet because the sheet is heavy, lower
the vacuum piston.

Set the separator.
Note
If double feeding occurs frequently
• Increase the grip area using the grip area
adjusting knob. (Turn the knob in the
direction shown by arrow
Or
• Loosen the locking screw and increase
the separator angle using the separator
angle adjusting knob. (Turn the knob in
the direction shown by arrow
