Port-Channel/LAG (802.3ad) Commands

This section describes port-channel configuration , also known as link aggregation groups (LAGs). Link
aggregation allows multiple full-duplex Ethernet link combinations into a single logical link. Network
devices treat the aggregation as a single link allowing for increased fault tolerance and load sharing.
A port-channel (LAG) interface can be designated as static or dynamic. All members within the same port
channel are designated same protocols.
Note: Configuring the maximum number of supported dynamic port-channels (LAGs) will configure
additional port-channels as static.
5-353 port-channel
Configure a new port-channel (LAG) and generate logical slot/port number for a port-channel. Use the
show port-channel command to display the slot/port number for the logical interface.
Note: Set port physical mode before including a port in a port-channel.
Note: Name fields support alphanumberic and characters string, such as dashes "-".
