Manual package

System manuals are provided on a CD-ROM and are preinstalled on the hard drive. If a complete
set of printed manuals is required, order the optional manual package, Keithley Instruments Model
Number 4200-MAN. The manual package includes any pertinent addenda. Because the manuals
are provided in PDF format, they can be printed from any computer that is connected to a printer
by using Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Repacking for shipment

Should it become necessary to return the 4200-SCS for repair, carefully pack the entire unit in its
original packing carton or the equivalent, and follow these instructions:

• Miniature triaxial cables, two per 4200-SMU or 4210-SMU, 2 m (6 ft) (not included when
SMU is ordered with a 4200-PA)
• Triaxial cables, two per 4200-PA, 2 m (6 ft)
• Interlock cable
• Keyboard with integrated pointing device and Y-Cable
• System software and manuals on CD-ROM

• Microsoft Windows
• Call Keithley Instruments' repair department at 1-800-935-5595 for a Return Material
Authorization (RMA) number.
• Let the repair department know the warranty status of the 4200-SCS Semiconductor
Characterization System.
• Write ATTENTION REPAIR DEPARTMENT and the RMA number on the shipping label.
• Complete and include the Service Form located at the back of this manual.
