Description
4200-901-01 Rev. S / May 2017
This function initializes the Dual Card pulse generator. The Dual Card
pulse-generator consists of two adjacent 4205-PG2s that are electrically "stacked"
on top of each other through the 4205-PCU (Pulse Combiner Unit). Initilization
configures each card in the stack using the specified card IDs for the two pulse
generator cards being stacked. Usually, the lower ID PG2 is the HighVpu. In the
case where VPU1 and VPU2 are being stacked, VPU1 will be the HighVpu, and
VPU2 will be the LowVpu.
The trigger output of the 4205-PCU is the same as the trigger output of the
HighVpu. In addition to the output setup, this routine also configures the triggers.
The parameters and return values for this function are listed in
Table
11-52.
Description
The PG2 that is at the top of the stack (VPU1)
The PG2 that is at the bottom of the stack (VPU2)
Description
No Errors.
LowVpuId is not in the system configuration.
HighVpuId is not in the system configuration.
HighVpuId and LowVpuId cannot be the same.
All other error cards match up to LPT errors.
This function sets the impedance of the load connected to the Dual Card pulse
generator. This impedance setting determines the actual pulse voltages output by
the pulse generator and is used for calculating the maximum voltage for the
function. Valid parameter values range from 1 Ω to 1 M Ω.
