This command is used to configure the DVMRP probe interval. Use the no form of the command to return
to the default value.
ip dvmrp probe-time SECONDS
no ip dvmrp probe-time

SECONDS
Default
By default, this value is 10 seconds.
Command Mode
Interface Configuration Mode.
Command Default Level
Level: 12.
Usage Guideline
Use this command to specify the interval time that the DVMRP router uses to send DVMRP Probe
messages.
Example
This example shows how to change the probe time to 20 seconds of an interface.
Switch# configure terminal
Switch(config)# interface vlan1
Switch(config-if)# ip dvmrp probe-time 20

This command is used to display DVMRP configuration information on an interface.
show ip dvmrp interface [INTERFACE-ID]
Parameters
INTERFACE-ID
Specifies the DVMRP probe interval value. It can be a value from 1 to
65535 seconds.
(Optional) Specifies a single interface, a range of interfaces, separated
by a hyphen, or a series of interfaces separated by a comma. Only the
VLAN interface is allowed for this command.
