User Guidelines
This command statically configures a port to receive the specified multicast
group on the specified VLAN. This command only applies to receiver ports in
compatible mode. It also applies to source ports in dynamic mode. In
dynamic mode, receiver ports can also join multicast groups using IGMP
messages.
Example
console(config-if-Gi1/0/1)#interface Te1/1/1
console(config-if-Gi1/0/24)#switchport mode trunk
console(config-if-Gi1/0/24)#switchport trunk native vlan 2000
console(config-if-Gi1/0/24)#switchport trunk allowed vlan add 2000
console(config-if-Gi1/0/24)#mvr
console(config-if-Gi1/0/24)#mvr type source
console(config-if-Gi1/0/24)#mvr vlan 2000 group 239.1.1.1

show mvr

Use the show mvr command in Privileged EXEC mode to display global MVR
settings.

show mvr
Parameter Description

MVR Running
MVR Multicast VLAN
MVR Max Multicast Groups

Multicast VLAN Registration Commands
Description
MVR running state. It can be enabled or
disabled.
Current MVR multicast VLAN. It can be in
the range from 1 to 4094.
The maximum number of multicast groups
that is supported by MVR.
