Parameter
interface-list: Ethernet port list, containing multiple Ethernet ports and expressed
as interface-list = { interface-type interface-number [ to interface-type
interface-number ] }&<1-10>. For detail descriptions of interface-type and
interface-number parameters, refer to the corresponding descriptions in Port
Command Manual. &<1-10> means that the preceding parameters can be
entered up to 10 times
instance-id: Specifies the spanning tree instance ID, ranging from 0 to 48. The
Instance 0 represents CIST.
port priority priority: Specifies the port priority, ranging from 0 to 240 with a step
length of 16, e.g., 0, 16 and 32. By default, the port has a priority of 128 on every
MSTI.
Description
Use the stp interface instance port priority command to configure the priority
of the specified port on the specified MSTI in system view.
Use the undo stp interface instance port priority command to restore the
default priority.
You may specify the instance-id parameter as 0 to configure CIST priority of the
port. The port priority has effect on the port role selection for the specified MSTI.
A port can be configured with different priorities on different MSTIs. Thus the
traffic from different VLANs can run over different physical links, thereby
implementing the VLAN-based load-balancing. MSTP will recalculate the port role
and transit its state, upon the port priority changes.
Related command: stp instance port priority.
