Parameter
across: Network cable type is cross-over cable.
auto: Network cable will be recognized whether it is straight-through cable or
cross-over cable.
normal: Network cable of the port is straight-through cable.
Description
Use the mdi command to configure the network cable type of the Ethernet ports.
Use the undo mdi command to restore the default type.
By default, the network cable type will be recognized automatically.
Note that the settings only take effect on the 10/100 Mbps and 10/100/1000
Mbps electrical ports.
Example
# Configure the network cable type of Ethernet port Ethernet2/1/1 as auto.
<SW8800> system-view
System View: return to User View with Ctrl+Z.
[SW8800] interface ethernet2/1/1
[3Com-Ethernet2/1/1] mdi auto

multicast-suppression

Syntax
multicast-suppression { ratio | bandwidth bandwidth }
undo multicast-suppression

Ethernet port view
Parameter
ratio: Specifies the maximum wire speed ratio of the multicast traffic allowed on
the Ethernet port. The value range is 1 to 100, and the default value is 50. The
smaller the ratio is, the smaller the multicast traffic is allowed.
bandwidth: Specifies multicast suppression bandwidth on the port. The value
range is 1 to the maximum value of port bandwidth.
Description
Use the multicast-suppression command to set the multicast suppression ratio
or broadcast suppression bandwidth.
