(d) Remove the engine rear mounting from the trans-
mission.
10. PLACE PIECE OF WOOD BETWEEN ENGINE OIL PAN
AND FRONT CROSSMEMBER
NOTE: Tape a piece of wood or such about 20 mm (0.79
in.) thick on the front crossmember.
11. LOWER TRANSMISSION
12. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE BRACKET AND STIFFENER
PLATE BOLTS
13. REMOVE REMAINING TRANSMISSION BOLTS
14. REMOVE TRANSMISSION
(a) Draw out the transmission toward the rear.
(b) Lower the transmission front and remove the transmis-
sion from the vehicle.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the extension housing
dust deflector.
