6. Type the file name and path (that you downloaded in step 1) in the Copy
manufacturer's files from drop-down list, or click Browse.
The Locate File dialog box opens.
Select the file, and then click Open.
7. In the dialog box that opens, a modem named Direct Connection should
be listed. Highlight this modem and click on the Next button.
8. Choose the communications port to which the null modem cable is
connected. You may have to look in the back of your computer. Click the
desired COMM port and then click Next.
9. Click the Finished button to complete the setup. A modem called Direct
connection is displayed in the Modems box.
10. Double-click the Direct Connection icon to activate the connection.
When prompted for a phone number, enter any number, as the driver
does not need this parameter to activate the connection. The user name
and password should be taken from the MCU. (The default user name
and password are POLYCOM.)
