Defining Static Routes

To define a static route:
a.
Click the plus [+] button.
The Add Route dialog box opens.
Two router types can be defined: Network and Host. A Host router
provides a direct connection to a specific host (an endpoint) located
in another subnetwork. A Network router provides a connection to a
segment of another network.

Define the following fields:

Description
Enter the IP address of the router and its subnetwork.
The IP address of the packet destination. The
destination determines the entity to be reached
outside the local network. The Type determines
whether this entity is a specific component (Host) or a
subnetwork (Network).
If Host is selected in the Type field, enter the IP
address of the endpoint.
If Network is selected in the Type field, enter the
components of the IP address indicating the
segment of the other network. For example,
entering 128.4.0.0 refers to a network segment
whose first two components are 128 and 4.
