Defining a New MPI Network Service

To set up a conference with endpoints connecting over a serial connection a
special Network Service must be defined in the Network Service. The MPI
box must be installed prior to the definition of the MPI Network Service. See
"MPI-8 Hardware Installation for the MGC-100" in the Hardware &
Installation Manual.
To define a new MPI Network Service:
1. Connect the MGC Manager to an MCU. For more information, see the
MGC Manager User's Guide, Volume I, Chapter 3, "Connecting to an
MCU".
2. In the Browser pane, click the plus [+] icon next to the MCU icon to list
its options.
3. Double-click the MCU Configuration icon, or click the plus [+] icon next
to the MCU Configuration icon, to expand the configuration options tree.
4. Double-click the Network Services icon, or click the plus [+] icon next to
the Network Services icon.
A list of Network Service types is displayed below the Network Services
icon.
5. Right-click the Network Services–MPI icon, and then click New MPI
Service.
